The skill of catching fish easily

Fish

Bait fishing is one of the easiest ways to catch fish. The approaches to catching fish are many–fly fishing, spinner fishing, jig fishing, trolling, and snagging to name a few—bait fishing is a good method for the beginning fisherman or fisherwoman. Bait fishing offers both simplicity and effectiveness for anglers. It is simple in that one only has to bait up a hook and throw the line in the water, and it is effective because the presence of live bait is a temptation that hardly any fish can resist!

It is said that if you give a man a fish he’ll eat for a day. If you teach him how to fish, however, he’ll eat for a lifetime. This article can help keep your belly full of fish for years to come!

Choose a location. Make sure to fish in water that actually has fish in it. If there aren’t any fish, you aren’t going to catch anything. Many newspapers have local fishing reports that will list locations and tell you what fish, if any, are biting and what they’re biting on. You can also ask around at angling shops, marinas and camping supply stores in the area. You can also check by throwing in food scraps and waiting a few minutes.

Choose your bait, and your hooks. Once you have some idea of what fish you’re looking to catch and what they’re eating, you can pick the right bait. You need hooks that will FIT INTO the fish’s mouth. #1 hooks work well for many things, but size 8 to 5/0 will work well for some fish. Ask your local tackle shop about the hook sizing system (i.e. 6,4,2,1,1/0, 2/0). The smaller the hook the better the chance of a bite, also a very thin line will result in more bites. Making a hook knot is difficult with small hooks. Ask a tackleshop owner or another fisherman to teach you.

Domestic Fish Tanks from Aqualease

Fish

Domestic fish tanks are a great way of having a pet that don’t require all of the attention of other domestic pets such as cats and dogs. A domestic fish tank will not only contain the fish that you like but will also brighten up your living room or dining room or whichever room you would like the domestic fish tank to be.

One of the reasons that put people off having a domestic fish tank is the maintenance of it. A domestic fish tank might be easier to take care of than a cat or dog in the day to day, but the long term maintenance of a domestic fish tank can be time consuming and require a bit more knowledge than how often to feed the fish. This is where Aqualease come in.

Aqualease’s domestic fish tank rental service is perfect for people that want the attraction of a fish tank in their home, but aren’t sure how, or have the time, to maintain it. Levels of Lead and Cadmium in 17 Species of Fresh Water Fish of Bangladesh

Levels of Lead and Cadmium in 17 Species of Fresh Water Fish of Bangladesh

INTRODUCTION

In recent years much attention has been focused on concentrations of some toxic metals in freshwater fish and other aquatic organisms [1-5]. Proper interest has understandably been mainly directed towards commercial and edible species since high concentrations levels of some elements can be hazardous to health. It is also being suggested that some aquatic organisms may provide useful means of monitoring such elemental concentration levels in surface waters and their impact on the aquatic environment [6].

The main sources of lead in the aquatic environment are leaded gasoline, and contributions from mining areas, the latter being typical point sources with a low ionization coefficient.

J.Nat.O.A.M.Institute Vol.26, No.2, 2009

On the other hand, cadmium is also easily volatilized at the operating temperatures of common industrial processes. Much of the cadmium in the atmosphere results from incineration of ferrous scrap fossil fuel combustion, tire wear and metallurgical processes [7].

The number of rivers, canal and stream in Bangladesh is about 230 with a total length of about 24,135 km and occupying a riverine area of about 9,384 sq.km [8].

In Bangladesh, fish production was about 814,685 metric tons in 1987. Inland fishery contributed nearly 73% of total production and supplies 80% of the animal protein requirement of the country. Fish is now an important source of protein (~20%) for the general population and also represents a lion’s share of foreign exchange by its export to other countries. In addition, it is also rich in essential minerals and vitamins, and low in saturated fats, making it an ideal food.

Selecting Your Aquarium Freshwater Fish

Fish

So, you’ve got your fish tank ready and you need a legion of swimming, cheerful fish to fill it, right? Well, slow down and decide exactly what sort of fish you want in your aquarium BEFORE buying!

If you are intending to have a community tank, you will want to select fish from the various tank levels, giving the aquarium a balanced feel. You may desire fish of a particular shape or size. Each person will have their own unique style. One point is sure, you have an aquarium and you require freshwater fish!

The fish type you select will take some thought on your part, particularly if you will be mixing species. Remember to research before buying anything, because you risk fish illness and ultimately death if you don’t!

Research Can Be Fun and Easy

Staff at a fish supply store should be able to tell you a lot about what you need to keep your potential fishes happy and healthy in their new home, and you might find that they’re more informed then you previously expected.

There is a lot of information needed when selecting your fish, of which some are:

- Does this fish like concealed places or open areas?

- The pH requirements are important for a mixed breed aquarium, the fish you choose need to thrive in the same range.

- Does this fish get along with others?

- Is this fish a meat eater or a vegetarian? – What type of eater is this fish? Top? Bottom? Aggressive?

- How much room will this fish require?

- Is the temperature range for this fish going to be compatible with the other fish you plan to have?

The Fish in the Three Religions

Fish

Before dealing with the topic of the Fish in Quran versus Bible versus sciences, it is mandatory to remember that the total words in the Bible are 788,280 while the total words in the Quran are 77,473. It follows that, the Bible is more than 10 times the Quran word-wise. The Fish is mentioned 64 times in the Bible and six times in the Quran, i.e. the Bible mentions the Heap more than 10 times as does the Quran. In other words, the Bible has the potential of more than 10 times (word-wise) and more than 10 times (subject-wise) than the Quran to talk about the Fish.

The Fish in the Bible:

The Lord says: 1) “I dry up the sea, I turn rivers into a desert; their fish rot for lack of water and die of thirst”, 2) “I will make you a bare rock, and you will become a place to spread fishnets. You will never be rebuilt,” 3) “I will put hooks in your jaws and make the fish of your streams stick to your scales. I will pull you out from among your streams, with all the fish sticking to your scales”, 4) “I will leave you in the desert, you and all the fish of your streams. You will fall on the open field and not be gathered or picked up. I will give you as food to the beasts of the earth and the birds of the air” and 5) “I will sweep away both men and animals; I will sweep away the birds of the air and the fish of the sea”

Isaiah 50:2

By a mere rebuke I dry up the sea, I turn rivers into a desert; their fish rot for lack of water and die of thirst.
